Honda holds Big Bike Ride to promote safety

With an intention of promoting safe riding Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd (HMSI) joined hands with Black Pistons Super bikers Club to organise a Big Bike Ride. The Honda Big Bike Ride event was flagged off from the Wing World Showroom at Naraina, Delhi and a total of 25 riders participated in the event.According to the Japanese two-wheeler giant, the main objective of the ride was to create and highlight the importance of road safety and the precautions to take while riding higher displacement motorcycles. The riders were briefed by an Expert Medical Trainer on various measures to be taken in case of an emergency situation also.

Such activities are one amongst the many that we undertake to promote fun riding in a safe way. To ensure that rider safety remains paramount, a big bike rider must be aware and informed of the precautionary steps to handle themselves and their peers in case of an emergency. We believe enthusiast riders such as Black Pistons Super Bikers Club can be the messengers for Honda and help spread the word of safety across the community,” 

The session consisted of a demonstration on how to tackle various scenarios like handling faint riders, attending fracture/small injuries, transfer of injured riders with necessary caution and correct way of handling a vehicle in case of a fall. Participants rode from Naraina to Manesar, covering a total distance of 120km before halting at Hotel Pullman, Gurgaon for breakfast. Post the event, each rider was gifted a specially designed Honda first aid kit comprising of all essential medical aids, as a take-away. Apart from learning the nuisances of safe riding, the Big Bike Ride also doubled up as a platform for Honda owners to meet and befriend likeminded individuals.
