THIS IS THE REASON GEGE IS BEHIND

Sir,

I am a person who sometimes does things which some people usually fail to do. If you are a person, introspection should always be important to you. I have investigated and managed to get several reasons why my constituency is always behind.

Before I explain any further, I wish to remind our Swazis out there that Swaziland is governed by the Tinkhundla system, so we need to use that to our advantage. Back to my topic, I have realised that this constituency has got a number of greedy individuals.

Gege is not progressing because chiefdom leaders are mostly included in disputes. You go to a chiefdom, you find a person occupying an influential position but he/she is the cause of the dispute. You find a widow in dispute with a chiefdom leader, what is that? I am sure the mandate of the senior individuals in the chiefdom level is to calm whatever disputes exist among the people. Not a person like umgijimi or indvuna becoming the cause of the dispute.

In my constituency you find chief runners or headmen involved in chieftaincy disputes, who then will intervene? Projects are being delayed because of that. Chiefdom leaders are failing to uphold their mandate in Gege. One wishes that people must stop to interfere and intervene where it is necessary. People must stop blocking the development in our constituency.

We want to see the constituency officers working without any disturbance by chiefdoms here. If not, as usual, a spade will remain a spade without fear regardless of one’s position. We want development not disputes.
