12-year-old girl scales Stok Kangri

A 12-year-old Telugu girl has scaled the most glamorous summit in India the Stok Kangri on August 14.

Stok Kangri is India’s highest trekkable summit which 12-year 9-month-old Jahnavi scaled on the eve of Independence Day becoming the youngest girl to trek to the summit, which is at 20,086 feet. Bad weather posed a major challenge for the girl in her trek to the summit, secretary of Youth Hostels Association of India Visakhapatnam district N. Nageswara Rao said in a statement. Jahnavi’s father is a doctor by profession and shifted from the city to Hyderabad where she is studying in Class IX.
