Rajatava and Saswata turn foes!

The two actors will be seen crossing swords on screen
Rajatava and Saswata turn foes!
Anindya Ghosh is excited about the way his Saheb Bibi & Joker is shaping up. While Arunima Ghosh was locked right after the film was conceived, the director has now roped in Rajatava Datta to play Saheb. Whats more, Saswata Chatterjee has been cast as Sahebs nemesis Moti Mondal. The unit is excited about bringing two powerful actors together.

Says Rajatava, I have read the script and immensely liked the way Bimal Mitras classic has been interpreted. Sahebs character is not only well etched out, he has multiple layers to his personality. The way the team has thought about the production design is also very interesting. I found the role too tempting to give a miss. Saheb not only has a strong personality, his interactions with the two women in his life will bring about some crucial moments in the movie.
For the director, bringing the two actors together is a dream come true. While their camaraderie has got many films noticed, they will here be seen crossing swords all through. About roping in Rajatava, the director says, Rajatavas screen presence and personality are perfect for Saheb. As we discussed the script for over four hours, his instant interest and involvement with the character fascinated me.
Moti Mondal, despite being a new character, holds tremendous promise, explains the director. The plot is completely different from Saheb Bibi Gholam and therefore, we need to introduce new characters to take the story forward. Saswata is as excited about the venture as I am. The role is on a par with the characters of Saheb, Bibi and Joker, he says.
Avishek Ghosh from the production house is overjoyed with the casting. Getting Rajatava and Saswata to share screen space is quite something. Both their characters have many shades to them. While Saheb will be seen in a new light, Motis character will be an unexpected treat for the audience.
Saheb Bibi & Joker is expected to go on the floors in November.
