The makers of actor Suriya's latest film Sikandar has decided to cut short the duration of the film in a bid to draw audiences to the theatres.

The makers of actor Suriya's latest film Sikandar has decided to cut short the duration of the film in a bid to draw audiences to the theatres. The film opened t0 scathing reviews from the critics last weekend and it is learnt that the distributors insisted on havinng length of the film trimmed. The film's run time has been cut by 20 minutes.
Samantha played the lead role in the film directed by Lingusamy.
Lagadapati Sridhar acquired the Telugu distribution rights of the film. The film had a massive release in Andhra Pradesh and was expected to make a windfall due to the long weekend but it seems to have backfired.
The film had a great opening on Friday but buzz is that the footfalls have been on the fall since. We will have to see if the shortened version can help bring back the audience to the theatres.
