Two youths feared drowned at Arial Ghat

ALLAHABAD: Two youths were feared drowned at Arial ghat under Naini police station on Sunday. According to the police, the incident took place when three friends had gone to take a bath at Arial ghat.
Police said that three youths including Sunny (20), Chandan (21), and Shera (20), all residents of Atala had come at Arial ghat for swimming. While swimming, Sunny and Chandan drowned as the river currents were too strong for them.Meanwhile, Shera somehow managed to come on the bank and shouted for help.
Local swimmers and boatmen immediately rushed to the spot but failed to save the lives of the duo. The service of swimmers and boatmen has been taken to fish out the bodies of the boys. Police said that the boys did not realize the flow of the current and went into the deep water (prohibited area) without accessing the gravity. Currently, the flood water has added the flow of both Ganga and Yamuna rivers and the current was still high.
