Happy New Year Already a Hit on Social Media

Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Happy New Year that is due for a Diwali release in October is already making waves in the social media.

Happy New Year's trailer that was unveiled on YouTube on August 14, on the eve of Independence Day has nearly got 1.8 million views already.

The trailer was also shared on Happy New Year's official Facebook page and has got more than 2.5 million 'likes' and over 60,000 'shares'.

"Happy New Year Trailer is outstanding!!!! Whopper blockbuster this Diwali!!!! (sic),"  Karan Johar tweeted.

Amitabh Bachchan also took to the micro-blogging site to shower praises on the Happy New Year trailer. "The trailor of Happy New Year!! Just simply stupendous .. Wohooo !! Farah and SRK .. and the entire team! (sic)," he said.

Happy New Year will see the return of the Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and Farah Khan combination after Om Shanti Om which was Deepika Padukone's debut Hindi film. The film directed by Farah Khan and to be released under Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment banner also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood, Jackie Shroff and Vivaan Shah.
