LUDHIANA: Students from BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, have joined hands with Hero DMC Heart Institute to spread health awareness among public through text messages.
Principal Paramjit Kaur said, "It is our honour that we are becoming a part of this health awareness campaign. We will try to register all our staff and students' parents so that they can also receive health tips through SMS."
"Spreading health awareness is one of the best ways to fight diseases and we have organized several health awareness initiatives to spread the message about common health related problems and their prevention among the people of Punjab to combat myths associated with diseases," said Prem Kumar Gupta, secretary (management) HDHI.

On the occasion, cardiologist Dr Bishav Mohan also gave a lecture on hypertension and diabetes in the school auditorium.
The hospital initiated this campaign some time ago and has registered more than 20,000 people for a health tip alert.
