Margao: Aimed at bringing people together to share ideas and knowledge, which help students in their future endeavours, preparing them to face challenges of the real world, the sixth edition of ‘Barcamp’ was recently organized at Chowgule College on Saturday.
Students and teachers of various colleges from South Goa like Rosary College, Navelim, Sri Sri Institute of Management Studies, Quepem College of Arts and Science were seen enthusiastically attending sessions that were simultaneously taking place at Tiger Studio and the lower auditorium of Chowgule college.

Speaking at the event, Tulasidas Pai, guest lecturer at Dempo College of Commerce and Economics who spoke on the need for economic reform said, "Economic growth would benefit the poor only if they are given the freedom to choose their livelihood. The government should concentrate on effective policing and enforcing contracts; leave the rest to private sector. We need competition and choice in every aspect of economy.”
Anay Kamat, consultant and co-founder at Present Soft Technologies Pvt. Ltd, who spoke on how faith is an essential for every entrepreneur said, "Faith is not superstition. It is based on wisdom and experiences. When you want have an original idea and don't have any past record to back it, faith is an essential factor.”
Speaking on the topic five steps one needs to follow to financial freedom, Ninad Kamat said, “We live in a country where the economic climate keeps changing everyday. In such situations, to be free financially, one needs to review their every financial decision that they make.”
This edition of ‘Barcamp’ was well received by the students and faculty, who came in good numbers and attended it and made this event a success.
