Varun Dhawan gifts beard to dad on birthday

Zee Media Bureau/ Aparna Mudi New Delhi: For newcomer Varun Dhawan, his father is his hero. Director David Dhawan turned 59 today and Varun Dhawan posted a special birthday message for his father on the micro blogging site, Twitter. He also added that he will shave off his beard as a gift to his father.

An odd choice for a gift from the young Dhawan! It seems that it may be just a joke or a request David must have made to his son. After all the sense of humour must run in the family. Varun has had a good year, his first release in April was a home production, `Main Tera Hero`. He was highly appreciated and many said he is the right person to take over the baton from Govinda, as he has the right mix of good looks and comic timing. The `Humpty Sharma...` star will be next seen in `ABCD: Anybody Can Dance 2` and `Badlapur`.
