On Wednesday, the two came together to launch the music of the film at a glittering evening in Mumbai. Mary Kom's husband K. Onler Kom, was also present at the event along with producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali and director Omung Kumar.

"Mary burst into tears after watching the film. I was in Turkey shooting Dil Dhadakne Do when I received Mary's phone call and she sounded emotional. We both cried on phone as we spoke. It was a strange moment," said Priyanka, explaining the bond that she developed with Mary.

Priyanka too has recorded a song, her first ever Hindi song, a lullaby titled Chaoro, for the film and being her usual energetic self, Priyanka did not waste a minute to hum the lullaby at the music launch.

Mary Kom too displayed her musical skill on stage when she crooned Aaj Main Upar from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's earlier film Khamoshi. The music of the film has been especially created to suit the theme of the film. Director Omung said he selected some of the finest numbers that describe the various aspects of Mary's life.
