Bharathi Vishnuvardhan celebrates 50 years in films in Bangalore

Bharathi Vishnuvardhan recently completed 50 years as an actress. To mark the occasion, the veteran actress will have a filmmaking course named after her at Christ University Media Studies department. Not many know that the actress was named Bharathi because she was born on Independence Day, so the wife of later Dr Vishnuvardhan had a lot to celebrate about this year. Also present were other veteran actors like Jayanthi, Sowcar Janaki, Girija Lokesh and Umesh, and filmmakers TS Nagabharana and Girish Kasaravalli.
