School booked for power theft
North Delhi discom Tata Power, Delhi has booked RD Public School in Krishan Vihar for power theft to the tune of Rs 8 lakh.
NEW DELHI: North Delhi discom Tata Power, Delhi has booked RD Public School in Krishan Vihar for power theft to the tune of Rs 8 lakh.
Tata Power officials said offence was noted during a random inspection. “The school management was found tapping power from Tata ABC lines through illegal wires,” the spokesperson for the discom said.
A total load of 25.300kW was found connected directly for running the school.A bill of Rs 8,04,219 was issued, which remains unpaid, claim Tata Power officials.
