Ketan Mehta’s directorial venture Rang Rasiya which had been ready since 2008 when it was screened at the London Film Festival is now set for a Diwali release. Ask the producer-director for the delayed release and he says. “Rang Rasiya was an expensive film and when the market crashed in 2008 there was a dispute between the producers and financiers of the film. Once that was settled Jayantilal Gada of PEN came on board as the presenter and now it is set for a Diwali release,” said Mehta.
Rang Rasiya stars Randeep Hooda, Nandana Sen, Vipin Sharma, Darshan Zariwala and others and is based on Marathi writer Ranjit Desai’s biography Raja Ravi Varma.
