Sudhanshu faces Rohan in all-Nagpur state badminton final

NAGPUR: Sudhanshu Bhure had a tough year. The promising shuttler was struggling with his form and confidence.
However, on Wednesday during the second Maharashtra Sub-Junior State Selection Badminton tournament at Ratnagiri, city lad overcame all obstacles to storm into the U-13 boys singles final.
The Standard VII student of Centre Point School (Katol Road) will face his practice partner Rohan Gurbani in the final on Thursday.It will be all-Nagpur final. The two had met in the final at Aurangabad last year where Rohan had pipped Sudhanshu to bag his first state title.
In fact, the penultimate day of the tourney was dominated by the Nagpur shuttlers as they excelled in all the age groups.
The U-13 boys doubles final will also be all-Nagpur affair. Top seeds Rohan and Sudhanshu will take on their clubmates Shriniwas Saoji and Jaskaran Suri in a repeat of Nashik tournament earlier in the season.
City girl Rashi Lambe upset second seed Ritika Thaker in all-Nagpur U-15 girls singles semifinal. Rashi will meet top seed Purva Barve in the summit clash on Thursday.
Second seeds Ritika and Simran Singhi (Mumbai Suburban), who had triumphed in Nagpur a couple of weeks ago, edged out Malvika Bansod and Rashi Lambe in three games to enter second successive final.
