Nikhil Dwivedi: Richa Chadda and my love story forms the USP of TAMANCHEY

Nikhil Dwivedi is a happy man indeed. Promo of his upcoming film TAMANCHEY has got a good response across board, what with a good deal of endorsement coming in from none other than Salman Khan. While that has been a good boost for the film, the very fact that he is being seen in an altogether different avtar when compared to where he started six years ago with MY NAME IS ANTHONY GONSALVES', is a big deal indeed for Nikhil who has been picking his films very carefully.

"And now I am very happy about the fact that TAMANCHEY is the film where I put my money on," says Nikhil who saw some good critical acclaim come his way from RAAVAN and SHOR IN THE CITY, "This is a first of its kind for me because after these two highly dramatic affair, I am getting into this full-on fun entertainer called TAMANCHEY."

In the film, he plays a UP boy while his partner-in-crime is Richa Chadda, who continues to be remembered for her notable performances in FUKREY and GANGS OF WASSEYPUR.

"In fact our love story is what forms the USP of TAMANCHEY. Simply put, the film is a love story of 'Do Kaminey' since none of us are the kind who can be trusted upon," reveals Nikhil, "Our characterization is such that we believe in ourselves to be really 'shaana' (smart) when the fact could well be something else. Moreover, there is a game of one trying to be up over another when it comes to making some smart moves. They can't even be seen working together and achieving anything substantial, leave aside falling in love. However that happens. Now whether it is for the keeps or a ploy is something to be seen."

We would like to see that indeed once this Suryaveer Singh Bhullar production with Navneet Behal as the director releases all over in the month of September.
