Four-year-old climbs Tirumala in 50 minutes

This was the sixth time the boy had climbed the hill on foot

Tirupati: A four-year-old boy set a record by climbing 2,700 steps to Tirumala from Srivarimettu in Chandragiri mandal within 50 minutes.

The boy, identified as Bhuvaneswar Sathyam, is son of a farmer Saibaba and Mahalaskhmi. They belong to Moturu village in Krishna district.

The boy started climbing at 11.35 am and reached Tirumala by 12.25 am. Everyone around praised the boy for the remarkable fete.

His parents said that their son was fond of walking and it is the sixth time that he is scaling the hill from Srivarimettu.

However, he had taken more than an hour to reach Tirumala on the earlier occasions, said his father.

Generally, it takes two to two-and-a-half hours for slow walkers to climb the hill from Srivarimettu. For regular climbers it takes one- and-a-half hour
