Rays Infra commissions solar plant

BANGALORE: Rajasthan based, Rays Power Infra, has announced commissioning of yet another solar power project of 5MW in Bijapur district, Karnataka. The total cost of the project is Rs 33 crores and has an estimated annual output of nine million KWH a year. The power will be supplied to HESCOM in Karnataka at a fixed tariff of Rs 8.5 per unit.
Rays Power Infra provides turnkey solution for setting up solar power plants and scope of work includes designing, engineering, procurement, erection, installation and commissioning of the solar power plant.The solar plant is provided with thin film solar panels from NEX Power, Taiwan and high-efficiency Helios inverters-transformer combined container solution from Germany.
Ketan Mehta, Director Operations at Rays Power Infra said “Humanity today has two major challenges in front - meeting the global energy need and finding the perfect solution to global warming. With the global economic equation fast changing and put to it the booming world population, the demand for alternative source of energy and particularly "solar power" is on the rise. This project will set up a bench mark for upcoming 500 MW solar bids in Karnataka in which we will participate for capacities up to 100 MW with various investors & Corporates. We will also launch a new solar park in Karnataka very soon.”
Sanjay Gupta (Head South Operation) said, “The completion of the project marks our presence in four states in India and will be expanded to another three states by the end of the year. We are now a pan India solar EPC Company and looking forward to expand our operations in overseas as well.”
