China's first driverless subway trains will run from Fangshan westward to Yanshan in Beijng, Beijing-based newspaper the Mirror reported Tuesday.
CNR Changchun Railway Vehicles Co, the company that produced unmanned subway trains for Hong Kong, won the order to deliver 60 advanced automatic trains. The maximum speed will be 80 kilometers per hour. The line will open in December 2015, and is the first subway on the Chinese mainland to be so highly automated.
