Clerk, his neighbour shot in Baghpat

Police sources said Kishor’s three brothers and one of Rajvir’s brothers are lodged in jail in connection with the murder.

A clerk in sub-registrar’s office and his neighbour were shot inside the former’s house in Badaut police station area of Baghpat district on Tuesday morning. The assailants were in police uniform.

According to the police, a group of assailants in two cars reached the house of Ram Kishor, 50, a clerk in Badaut sub-registrar’s office, who was currently officiating as sub-registrar, in Tyorhi village this morning.

The family members claimed that the assailants, some of whom were in police uniform, entered Ram Kishor’s house and fired indiscriminately at Kishor who was sitting with his neighbour,  Rajvir Singh, 45. Both men suffered multiple gunshots and died on the spot.

Police have lodged an FIR against Badaut block development committee chairperson Birmati, her son Paramvir and 15 others named and unidentified persons on the complaint of Kishor’s son, Sugam. None has been arrested so far.

Police sources said Kishor’s three brothers and one of Rajvir’s brothers are lodged in jail in connection with the murder of Birmati’s son Neetu Tugana in May.
