Film: Singham Returns Sequel To: Singham Remake of: Singam (Tamil)
Director Rohit Shetty’s Bollywood remake of the Tamil superhit proved to be a box-office success, prompting the makers to attempt its sequel.
Though Kollywood had completed the sequel way ahead of Rohit, he decided to come up with an original story for the Hindi audience.
Film: No Entry Mein Entry Sequel To: No Entry Remake of: Charlie Chaplin (Tamil)
No Entry, Anees Bazmee’s comic caper starring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor and Fardeen Khan, was a crowd-puller. Now, the team is working on its sequel, No Entry Mein Entry. Buzz is, Salman will have 10 leading ladies in the film.

Film: Don 2 Sequel To: Don Remake of: Don (Hindi)
Shah Rukh Khan and Farhan Akhtar teamed up to remake Amitabh Bachchan-Chandra Barot’s Don (1978), with minor changes in the storyline, in 2006. In 2011, the duo got back together to release its sequel, with the storyline taking a five-year leap. Now, SRK has hinted at a third part.

Film: Double Dhamaal Sequel To: Dhamaal Remake of: It’s A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World
A remake of the Hollywood hit, the Hindi film starred Sanjay Dutt, Riteish Deshmukh and Arshad Warsi. Four years later, director Indra Kumar came up with its sequel, Double Dhamaal. And now, the team is working on the last in the series, Total Dhamaal.
Film: Bheja Fry 2 Sequel To: Bheja Fry Based on: Le Dîner de Cons (French)
The French comedy, which also inspired the English film Dinner For Schmucks, formed the basis of Bheja Fry, starring VinayPathak and RajatKapoor. Director SagarBallary came up with an original sequel — Bheja Fry 2. While this film retained only Vinay’s character, the third and the last in the series, Bheja Fry 3, will see the two actors reuniting on screen.
