Samir’s mother Alka Amin to play Sonali Bendre’s MIL

Veteran actress Alka Amin, who played Samir Soni's mother in 'Parichay — Nayee Zindagi Kay Sapnon Ka', has been roped in to play Harsh Chhaya’s mother in Ekta Kapoor’s show for Life OK.

The show, titled Ajeeb Daastaan Hai Ye as of now, will mark Sonali Bendre's acting debut on the small screen. Actress Kuki Grewal, who has featured in Rishta.com, has been finalised to play Harsh’s girlfriend.Informs a source associated with the show, “The production house is leaving no stone unturned to rope in the most suitable faces. It’s a big-ticket show more so because it marks Sonali’s debut.” Alka confirmed the news, “Yes, I am in the show. However, my character will be different from what I played in Parichay.” It is to be noted that Samir was offered the male lead's role in the show, but the deal fell through.
