Kalabhavan Mani will reprise Shajon’s role in Drishyam’s Tamil remake
Kalabhavan Shajon’s baddy avatar as brutal cop Sahadevan in Mohanlal starrer Drishyam was lapped up by movie buffs. Now buzz is that actor Kalabhavan Mani will reprise Shajon’s role in Drishyam’s Tamil remake, Papanasam.
When contacted, director Jeethu Joseph said, “Yes, it is confirmed. I have roped in Kalabhavan Mani for the role. However, I can’t reveal the other details of the movie now and the casting of the other characters has not been done yet.” The film has Kamal Haasan playing Mohanlal’s role.
Apparently, the name of Kamal’s character, Ulakanayakan, has now been changed to Saiva Pillai. Asha Sharath will once again don khaki for Papanasam.
Interestingly, speculations were rife that Gauthami, the real life partner of Kamal, will reprise the character of his wife onscreen. However, the latest reports say that the lead actress for the movie has not been confirmed yet.
