Simba fires Logarusic could Gor Mahia want him back?

Walking away: Zdravko Logarusic out of Simba FC helm

NAIROBI, KENYA: The loud mouthed Croatian coach Zdravko Logarusic ditched Gor midway the season last year, stayed away from football while scheming his next safe haven and indeed, our neigbouring country – Tanzania was the safe landing pad when Simba hired him to guide them through the league.

He was welcomed and praised for his work which apparently didn’t satisfy the club owners and there goes the question - how long was his heaven going to be safe? Fired just after the defeat in their first friendly and now he is a free man, a free coach and free to roam while searching for another safe crib.

His sacking comes at a time when the antennae of Gor Mahia is up and options are being weighed on who to take over from Bobby Williamson who got ‘greener pastures’ as they call it. How green is green when one runs from hyenas to the cool park of cunning foxes who would leave him/her standing alone when things fall off the wagon? That’s not the safe poch we are talking about and perhaps the focus should be on Logarusic.

With speculations rife in the air, Logarusic could come back. With the league race nearing the final stretch, all eyes are open to see if Gor Mahia will sanction the second coming of the Croat. Being who he is, many fans want him back as soon as yesterday.
