ISB initiative to benefit 750 multi-national companies

August 12, 2014 12:10 am | Updated 12:10 am IST - HYDERABAD:

The Indian School of Business (ISB) and Deloitte in association with National Association of Software & Service Companies (NASSCOM) has developed an in-depth evaluation and performance tracking research finding to benefit the 750 odd-multi-national companies (MNC’s) having Global in-house centres (GIC’s) in the country.

The GIC Maturity Index (GMI) is the result of a study of 40 companies across major industries, anchored by Professor Deepa Mani, Joint Executive Director of the Srini Raju Centre for IT and the Networked Economy (SRITNE) at ISB, Hyderabad.

The findings were released at the third edition of the ISB service Science Workshop which had participation of business leaders, academics and industry researchers, a press release said.

The GMI tracks the evolution of GIC’s from cost centres to innnovation centres, establishes performance benchmarks for each maturity level and identifies investments that yield optimal performance at each level, the press release added.
