A three-year-old girl is dead after falling into the Rivière du Nord near Prévost, in the Laurentians.
The girl wandered away from her parents and was found unconscious near the shore around 12 p.m. on Saturday.
Efforts to resuscitate the girl failed.
She was transported to hospital to St-Jérôme, where she was pronounced dead.
