Seven killed in separate road accidents

Six persons were killed when a speeding MUV dashed into a standing truck on Friday night while in another incident a boy was killed and another suffered serious injuries after a SUV ran over them in Azamgarh district on Saturday.

Six persons were killed when a speeding MUV dashed into a standing truck on Friday night while in another incident a boy was killed and another suffered serious injuries after a SUV ran over them in Azamgarh district on Saturday.
According to reports, Sant Prasad Yadav (42), a native of Basti Bhujbal village under Ahraula police station, had hired a MUV to go to Vindhyachal in Mirzapur district on Friday morning.
They left for home on Friday night. They were passing through Nagrahiya Jahanpur area under Gambhirpur police station in Azamgarh when the driver Kali Prasad (25) failed to notice a standing truck and dashed into it.
Sant, his wife Manju (38), sister Sangeeta (25), driver Kali and Bhanu Pratap Chauhan (60), a former head of Ishahaqpur village died on the spot. On receiving information police reached the incident site and rescued the injured including Sant’s nephew Amalesh (17), daughter Shalini (14) and son Aman (10) with the help of villagers. They were rushed to district hospital. On noticing sharp deterioration in the health condition of Amalesh doctors referred him to Varanasi but he succumbed on the way. Police have sent all the six bodies for postmortem.
Meanwhile, in another road accident at Gosai ka Bazar under Gambhirpur police station area a boy Aryan Yadav alias Chhoti (10) was killed while Pinku (17) suffered serious injuries when an uncontrolled SUV ran over them. Aryan died on the spot. On seeing it the locals chased the SUV. In a bid to escape the driver lost control and the vehicle fell in a waterlogged field. The villagers caught the driver Manish and thrashed him before handing him over to the police. Police have sent the body of Aryan for postmortem while Pinku is struggling for life at district hospital.
Woman dies: Kanchan (26), a native of Kusaha village under Deedarganj police station in Azamgarh died mysteriously at her residence on Friday night. On receiving information her father Shivpujan reached from Rani ki Sarai area and alleged that his daughter was murdered by in-laws for dowry. Police are investigating the matter after sending the body for postmortem.
