JAIPUR: The Sawai Man Singh (SMS) medical college's striking resident doctors called off their strike as they resumed their duties on Friday evening.
The 13-member committee, which was constituted to resolve the issues, held a meeting on Friday and it decided to allow the attendants to enter the hospital through entry passes, Dr Ajit Singh, SMS additional superintendent, said.

The resident doctors had gone on strike when an attendant of a patient allegedly clashed with a resident doctor on Thursday morning. The resident doctors of other hospitals including Zanana hospital, Mahila Chikitsalya and Gangauri hospital had also joined them in their strike. They were demanding stringent security measures in hospitals to prevent incidents of violence against resident doctors on duty.
