Sandalwood branded Akshay Kumar as a flop actor

Bollywood's most successful action hero, Khiladi Akshay Kumar, had acted in a Kannada film with Dr Vishnuvardhan in his initial years. The film, which was titled Vishnu Vijaya, was an action caper, was well-received by the critics, but didn't end up doing well at the box office. While Akshay, after his intial bad phase, has gone on to become one of India's biggest stars, he never did a Kannada film again.
When Akshay was in the city to promote his new release Entertainment, he was asked at a press conference why he never did another film in Kannada after Vishnu Vijaya. Akshay quickly replied, "That film flopped and no one ever thought of casting me. Maybe they thought of me as a flop actor."
When someone asked him if he would act in a film now, he immediately replied, "If someone has the cheque ready for me, I'll do one right away."
