When Ferrari introduced the Enzo (F60) back in 2002, the extreme Pracing Horse instantly became the hypercar yardstick. It's a spectacular looking car with a mind-glowingly potent V12 mounted in the middle, but it pales compared to its sister model.
The oily bits such as the screaming 6-liter V12 powerhouse and the six-speed semi-automatic transmission are shared with the Ferrari Enzo, but the Maserati MC12's badge, looks and scarcity gave it a sizeable advantage over the bewitching Enzo.
The Prancing Horse has made 400 units of the Enzo, while Maserati has assembled only 62 examples of the MC12. In terms of oomph, the Enzo is 30 horsepower more brawny than the MC12's 630 ponies, but come on! It was the early 2000s and such figures were out of this world for that day and age. As anyone might've figured out by now, it's extremely hard to find a good Enzo or MC12 for sale these days, especially a low-mileage and carefully pampered example of the breed. But a little bit of web surfing returned us with such a rare offering.
Currently in the inventory of Florida-based dealer Fort Lauderdale Collection South, this particular Maserati MC12 is an early model built in 2004 and it's yours only if you drop $1,850,000. The carbon fiber skin is jacketed in shiny Bianco Fuji/Blu, while the partial leather cabin is still looking factory fresh.
Best thing of all? It has been driven only 1,940 kilometers (1,205 miles). The dealership tells that only a dozen or so of these rare beauties are currently roaming in the U.S., so this is quite the opportunity for those that wants exclusivity, performance and pedigree all rolled up into one special package.
