Rani Mukherji, one of the most talented actresses of Bollywood, has been named the sexiest Marathi babe in a recently conducted poll, leaving behind actress Kareena Kapoor Khan.

The poll conducted by Bollywood Life listed out the hottest Bollywood Marathi babes on screen, where actresses were ranked based on their appearance as a Marathi woman in Bollywood movies.

Although, Mukherji's last release, "Aiyyaa", failed to make a mark at the box office, it appears that the actress' efforts have not been wasted as the film bagged her the sexiest Marathi babe title. The "Bunty Aur Babli" actress scored 50 percent (3386) of the votes.

Mukherji's Marathi avatar in the movie won hearts of her fans as she managed to carry off a different look with much elan. Moreover, the hugely popular song "Dreamum wakeupam" was also loved by the audience, where the actress was seen romancing south actor Prithviraj.

Meanwhile, Mukherji will next be seen in a completely different avatar in her upcoming movie "Mardaani" where she is portraying the role of a tough cop. The woman-centric film directed by Pradeep Sarkar will hit theatres on 22 August.

On the other hand, Kapoor's upcoming film "Singham Returns" will have her play the female lead opposite Ajay Devgn. "Singham Returns" directed by Rohit Shetty is slated to release on 15 August.

With the "Talaash" co-stars hitting the silver screens in a row, it remains to be seen if Mukherji manages to retain her top position against Kapoor.
