Sujay Reu & Prithvi Zutshi to enter Shastri Sisters

Shakuntalam Telefilms newly launched show Shastri Sisters aired on Colors is all set to witness two new entries.
In the upcoming episodes, Alka (Neha Pednekar) the oldest sister of the Shastri family will get married and this will mark the entry of her in-laws. The production house has roped in some popular names of TV to play the roles. Actor Sujay Reu of Ram Milayi Jodi fame will play the role of Alka's husband whereas Prithvi Zutshi will be seen playing the character of her father in-law.

Commenting on his character in Shastri Sisters, Sujay Reu said, “I am essaying the role of Rohan Pandey, Alka’s to-be-husband in the show. My character is similar to that of Ajay Devgn’s in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. I will be in love with Alka since day one but since she will be in love with Rajeev, and the plot will thicken. My entry will take place on this Saturday with the mata ki chowki episode. I had a lot of fun with the cast and I have already bonded with all, including the senior cast.” Speaking about his previous work as an actor, Sujay said, “I have previously played the lead in Ram Milaai Jodi and Laxmi. The whole of last year, I was busy shooting for episodics.”

We also spoke to Prithvi Zutshi, who will play the father-in-law, he said, “I will be playing Alka’s arrogant father-in-law, Harishankay Pandey. I took up the role of Alka’s father-in-law mainly because I have worked with Shakuntalam Productions before and I strongly believe that they are clean and cooperative people. Besides this, I have also heard a lot about Shastri Sisters and its popularity. I am looking forward to start shooting for the show on August 9.”
