With all the hoopla about contemporary stand-up becoming the live entertainment choice of urban India, it was interesting to see stand-up's newest and best talent, Tanmay Bhat, Gursimran Khamba and Ashish Shakya queuing up to watch the original comic, Johnny Lever in his home production, Johnny Lever Live.

Bagging a ticket to this one is near impossible, and the celebs will vouch for it considering Hema Malini with Esha and son-in-law Bharat Takhtani, actors Satish Shah and Himesh Reshammiya and producer Ramesh Taurani managed to make it, but not as Lever's personal guests.
Clutching on to their tickets, they were happy to share a laugh with a charged audience determined to witness an encore.
