JAKARTA: Actress and film director Lola Amaria says she is a fan of Indonesia's traditional attire, which she often wears when attending events.
'Honestly, I am proud of wearing traditional clothes. I like to wear them to many public events, especially abroad,' Lola said as quoted by tribunnews.com.
She said she liked to wear, among other things, batik, kebaya (Javanese traditional attire), and a traditional Makassar baju bodo.
'They are unique and second to none. I often become the center of attention, like when I wore a skirt made of woven cloth from NTT [East Nusa Tenggara] or when I combined Sulawesi's fabric and kebaya,' said the director of Minggu Pagi di Victoria Park (Sunday Morning in Victoria Park).
'But I guess the attention means they also admire the attire,' she said, adding that she also liked to travel to explore the archipelago.
