Skymark Air to stop using Narita as base for domestic flights

TOKYO -- Skymark Airlines, Japan's No. 3 carrier, will end its domestic service out of Narita Airport in late October to cut costs and shore up wobbly finances.

Narita, which serves the greater Tokyo area, charges higher fees for landing and departure than regional airports. The withdrawal is expected to save the company some 3 billion yen ($28.9 million) a year.
