Contributor Adriana Abarca called this take-off point in San Diego County a hang glider's paradise. "It has an incredible view (and) makes you want to glide above the mountains," Abarca wrote.

In this photo taken by Victor Mirontschuk, a colorfully bearded street entertainer known as Ms. Colombia looks his parrot in the eye as they stand beak to nose. Mirontschuk said while he and Ms. Colombia spoke, "his parrot seemed to want to get into the conversation."

A winding river through Hayden Valley in Yellowstone National Park made a fantastic scene for Kaylee Brendel to capture the setting sun.
