Ronan Keating and ex-partner Yvonne have finally sold their €2.45m Abington home

It's the end of an era for the pair who were once one of Ireland's best-known couples as they close the door on their relationship.

The plush six-bedroomed mansion in the celeb-filled estate in Malahide had been on the market since last January.

And it's understood that Ronan and Yvonne got close to the original asking price for No 50 as they took advantage of the booming Dublin property market.

Former model Yvonne, who has reinvented herself as a columnist and TV presenter, is now busy packing up the house and moving out with her three children Jack (15), Missy (13) and Ali (8).

The sprawling property, which covered an area of over 6,000sq ft, was originally intended as the setting for their new life after Ronan's indiscretion with dancer Francine Cornell. It included a games room, a bar, a dressing room, walk-in-wardrobes and a home gym.

Yet the pair decided to go their separate ways in 2011 and put the house on the market three years later.

A source close to Yvonne revealed how she's looking forward to moving on with her new life with cameraman John Conroy.

"She's delighted that they've finally sold the house - it's like a whole new start for her. She's got three great kids, a guy she's mad about and she's now got an entirelyfresh start," they said.

"She's over the moon about the sale going through and can start planning her future now."

Yvonne has previously indicated that she and her children will be staying in the upmarket northside enclave as it's convenient for their schools.

"The kids would kill me if we moved anywhere else," she said.

The blonde beauty turned 40 last February - and said she's never felt better.

"In my personal life I'm extremely happy, I feel truly loved and I think then you worry less about how you look physically," Yvonne said.

"I'm very relaxed about turning 40 to be honest. You get to a stage where you just couldn't care less, there's nothing you can do about growing older anyway.

The model started dating cameraman boyfriend John in 2012 after meeting him on the set of daughter Missy's movie.

Ronan has also moved on with Aussie producer Storm Uechtritz and the pair flew back to Australia this week.

And it was straight back into work for dad-of-three Ronan, who spent the afternoon discussing the latest episode of smash-hit show X Factor in Sydney.
