    Walking into the foundry at Mahindra & Mahindra’s Kandivali plant, our HR head gave us, the new batch of graduate engineers, an option on the first week on the job: “Anyone willing to take the challenge to fix the foundry and rise?” It’s been seven years since that day. That was my first job.

    Working at the foundry instilled the principles of team work and analysis that fundamentally shaped the engineer in me. Even today, when I’m trying to change logistics in India, I realise most of my understanding of the way things should be run, comes from that experience.

    Learnings from Mahindra will last with me and my team for a lifetime. I value this brand because it is at the forefront of bringing design and clean technology expertise from overseas.

    Mahindra doesn’t just teach us how to do a job, it teaches us to keep questioning what we do so that we stay true to our objective.

    Brands like Mahindra don’t just make profits, they shape the ecosystem of all those who work and partner with them. It is with that same philosophy that I have embarked on many of my journeys. Now with my new startup I can proudly say that I can and I will ‘rise’ to face my challenges just like I learned at Mahindra & Mahindra.
