'Piyush exploited several girls': Cops

KANPUR: Piyush Dasani, son of biscuit baron Om Prakash Dasani, arrested for being the brain behind his wife Jyoti's murder was a 'philanderer' and exploited several girls after befriending them.
The police said that this was proved by the content of SMSs exchanged between him and his several girlfriends, including Manisha Makhija. They said that Piyush was into multiple relationship and this affected his marriage too.
The print out of the content of SMSs runs into nearly 700 pages. "We came to know about his affair with a third girl -- a distant relative of Dasanis-- who hails from different state. She often used to visit Piyush. A separate team has been formed to question her," said IG zone Ashutosh Pandey. Before this girl, he targeted a woman employee of his firm, who is a local resident.
Police said that Piyush used to stay in touch with almost all his girlfriends as he had little contact with his parents. "The only connect he had with his parents was that they used to support him monetarily," a police official said.
The parents of Jyoti, who stay in Napier Town Chautha Pul in Jabalpur city of MP (Madhya Pardesh), said Piyush and Jyoti got married at Status Club in Kanpur in 2012. Her father Shankar Nagdeo told TOI on phone that before marriage, Jyoti's original name was Puja.
"Her name was changed by her in-laws soon after the marriage," he said. He added that Piyush used to mentally torture Jyoti. "It has been revealed by the content of Jyoti's personal diaries wherein she complained: If he can bring jewellery for his mother and sister-in-law, then why not for her."
Vishesh, Jyoti's brother further said that Piyush was cruel by nature. "Jyoti had shared many examples of his cruelty with us. Once during an outing in Jabalpur, Piyush deliberately killed a puppy sitting by the road side while driving a four-wheeler," he alleged further.
