Curfew, operation force tribesmen to leave Jamrud

KHYBER AGENCY  - Tribesmen of Jamrud Tehsil have started leaving for safe places owing to imposition of curfew, military operation, arrest of innocent people and famine like situation in the area.
PML-N local leaders Faqir Mohammad, Syed Gha Jan and Faizullah Afridi stated this in a joint press conference at the Jamrud Press Club here the other day.
They strongly denounced the practice of confining local tribesmen of Koki Khel tribe of Jamrud to their homes, saying the exercise is totally against the international laws. "Tribal people of Jamrud are migrating towards safer areas due to constant curfew, starvation, shutting of business activities, shelling and detaining of local people without any known reasons," they informed.  They also appreciated the arrangements made by the federal government for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan. However, they expressed regret over the condition of IDPs of Khyber Agency who have been left helpless by the authorities.
He demanded of the federal government to provide all basic facilities to tribesmen of Bara Khyber Agency and restore peace and stability in the area.
