Sun of democracy to rise on 15th: Hashmi

CHAKWAL - President Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, said on Sunday that there would be no dialogue with the government on Azadi March and the sun of democracy will rise on 15th August in Pakistan. He said that the country would be released from the clutches of ‘qabza group,’ which had maintained status quo in the country, adding the present rulers and system had failed to deliver.
Hashmi was talking to media persons here at the residence of District President PTI Raja Yasir Sarfraz after attending a workers convention. More than 1,500 workers participated in the convention and vowed to participate in the historic million march. President PTI Punjab Ejaz Chaudhary and Senior Vice President PTI Malik Ameen Aslam were also present on the occasion.
Hashmi said that Pakistan Awami Tehrik, Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid), Awami Muslim League, Pakistan People’s party, and all other likeminded political parties have been invited to participate in the million march and all these parties have assured their support to the Azadi March. Hashmi said that efforts of Punjab government to stop PTI workers from attending Azadi March would be foiled by the workers.
He said that Imran Khan would announce his agenda on 14th August and one thing was very clear that democracy would not be derailed. He added that due to this million march, true democracy would be established in the country, which would ensure justice to the common man. He was of the view that present system was totally undemocratic and the present government was product of a rigged election. He said that present rulers had lost their so-called mandate of 11th May. Earlier Ejaz Chaudhary, Malik Amin Aslam, Raja Yasir Sarfraz, Shahid Iqbal Advocate, Ali Nasir Bhatti, Pir Shaukat Karuli, Pir Nisar Qasim, Farrukh Habib and Hina Manzoor addressed the convention. The speakers assured the leadership that thousands of enthusiastic workers of PTI Chakwal would move towards Islamabad on 14th August.
