Gurgaon police has announced a cash reward of Rs 50,000 for any information about the accused who abducted and raped a two-year-old girl last Thursday night in Sikanderpur Ghosi. The Commissioner of Police has ordered that further investigation be carried out be a special team.
“We have formed a special investigation team, headed by an ACP and under the supervision of DCP(East) to investigate this case. We have also announced Rs 50,000 reward to anyone who helps police and gives information about the accused, leading to his arrest,” Alok Mittal, Commissioner of Police, Gurgaon, said.
According to police, the special team will not work on the sketch provided by the victim as she is only two years old and was not able to convey her message well. Police said the girl was in shock and hence unable to speak.
The girl was abducted at 9.30 pm last Thursday, while she was playing outside her house in Sikanderpur village. After the girl returned home. bleeding profusely, she was taken to Civil Hospital, where doctors confirmed rape.
According to a senior official in the hospital, the girl’s condition is stable and she has been put on strong antibiotics to control the infection.
A case has been registered against unknown person under section 363, 376 and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
