Hailing the Andhra Pradesh government’s decision to take back the land allotted to Vadarevu and Nizampatnam Port & Industrial Corridor (VANPIC) project, the Rajadhana Sadana Samiti on Sunday urged the government to use the same for development of the State Capital. Samiti chief advisor Kola Venkateswara Rao told reporters at Ongole that the VANPIC was planned as a port-based industrial cluster then. The same land could be used for development of the Capital.

All-round development of backward Prakasam district could be ensured by developing international airport, sea port and infrastructure for promoting major industries and higher educational institutions, Samiti convenor V. Raja Rao said.
