Another incident of ragging on Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) campus has come to haunt the institute.

BHOPAL: Another incident of ragging on Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) campus has come to haunt the institute. Students from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana filed a complaint on official portal of anti-ragging of UGC helpline centre on Saturday.
In their complaint, students said ragging is rampant in hostel number 1. "We are forced by seniors to rag juniors," students said in complaints.
"We are mentally and physically tortured by seniors daily," they said.
Complainants also named their seniors who are responsible for ragging. These are Lakam Ajay Kumar (metallurgical science and metallurgical engineering, pass out), Gundala Avinash (computer science, 4th year), Rekala Bharath Simha Reddy (computer science, 3rd year), Maloth Praveen (metallurgical science and metallurgical engineering, 3rd year), Chaluvali Anjaneya Avinash (mechanical, 3rd year), Yeshwanth Sai (electrical and electronics, 3rd year), Gobburi Lokesh (3rd Year), Chavala Manoj (chemical engineering, 3rd Year), Kolli Parasuram (electrical and computer engineering, 3rd year), Kamepalli Rakesh (mechanical, 3rd year).
Complainants even gave out name of students studying with them for forcing them to rag juniors. These students are Tejesh Naik (mechanical, 2nd year), Bathula Prashanth (computer science, 2nd year), Praveen (B Arch, 2nd year), Jasti Girisai Kumar (mechanical, 2nd year), Trisonam Gunam (chemical engineering, 2nd year), Chemalapudi Srikar Naidu (electrical and computer engineering, 2nd year), Kesav (electrical and computer engineering, 2nd Year) and KPM Krishna Kanth (electrical and electronics, 2nd year).
After receiving the complaint, anti-ragging helpline contacted director of MANIT, Appu Kuttan.
