Shaan gears up to live, love and laugh

Besides singing, composing and acting, Shaan is also coming up with a live concert.
His wife Radhika, who is producing the event, says, “Live Love Laugh Shaan Se is my third baby. I now understand the work one puts in to produce a live concert.” In an interview, Shaan talks about this and more...
Tell us more about your concert.
Radhika has conceptualised and designed Live Love Laugh Shaan Se — a contemporary yet classic show, with Roshan Abbas.I’m thrilled to be a part of it as I get to sing some of my favourite Mukeshji, Rafi saab and Kishoreda songs.
Besides singing, you’re also composing music for films now…
Yes, it’s been about a year now. My partners are Gourov Dasgupta and Roshan Balu. Together, we’re ‘Superbia’. I’ve already signed some film and non-film assignments.

What do you think of new singers?
I’m aware of the new breed of exciting voices ruling the airwaves, but I’ve been working twice as hard on my skills and am not ready to hang my boots just yet. My best is yet to come.
Lastly, how did acting happen to you?
Sometime back, I got introduced to Sunil Agnihotri, who had seen my videos and TV shows. He thought I could pull off comedy well. Mika was also roped in and soon we started shooting for Balwinder Singh Famous Ho Gaya. It has been fun playing this role of a scheming yet lovable loser. My team and I also composed a quirky dance number, KenniG for the film.
