We need more shows that common people can relate to: Ghanshyam Nayak
Actor Ghanshyam Nayak, who is immensely popular for his portrayal of Natu Kaka in the serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has done Gujarati plays and TV shows before and feels that if they aren’t far removed from reality, there’s no reason why Gujarati television shows can’t do well. He says, “We need more daily soaps on air which have touch with reality, and look believable, so that common people can relate to them. There are a few good shows but we need more.
Earlier, serials would talk about the common man and his problems while today, it’s more about glamour in most shows. Shows aiming for more than just commercial success are needed.”
