Walmart a big enemy of middle class in U.S.

For the letter writer who is angry at Walgreens regarding their plans for tax inversion and plans to head to Walmart ("Walgreens leaving U.S.? I'm heading to Walmart," Opinions, Tuesday):

Every year Walmart passes on billions of dollars in cost to U.S. taxpayers by paying their employees such low wages that they need food stamps, Medicaid and other subsidies just to exist. Walmart has done a lot to destroy the American middle class.

And how many Walmart items were actually made here? Do your due diligence on Walmart as well.
