Two held for raping minor in Satna district

BHOPAL: Two persons were arrested in Satna district on Friday for raping a minor. Police said the incident took place at Sukulgawan village of the district on Wednesday night but the survivor could lodge a complaint only on Thursday evening.
Police said the 15-year-old girl went to attend nature's call. When she was on her way home she was apprehended by both the accused, Shera Kewat and Ajay Kol, who took her to a nearby field, added police."Accused dumped her in the farm after the incident and fled," Tala police station in charge, Sundresh Marawi told TOI.
"Survivor somehow managed to reach a relative's place which was nearby and informed them. They later took her home and as it was raining heavily they could not lodge a complaint on Wednesday," Marawi said.
Both accused were booked for rape and under Protection of Children From Sexual Offences Act as well as SC & ST Act (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
