JAMMU, Aug 1: Terming sacrilegious acts at Bhoond in Basohli and Batote in Ramban as a deep rooted conspiracy to disturb peace in the region and create communal tension, former Minister and president Dogra Saddar Sabha Gulchain Singh Charak today appealed the people not to fall prey to the evil designs of some mischievous elements.
Addressing a press conference here today, Mr Charak strongly condemned these acts committed by some mischief mongers at Sheetal Nagri in Bhoond and near Patnitop in Batote recently. Describing such acts as deep rooted conspiracy, Mr Charak demanded stern action against elements involved and the conspirators behind. He warned that most ugly and dangerous situation can arise if the culprits are not brought to the book. There is strong need to expose the people behind this conspiracy. These people have tried to damage the age old brotherhood among the people of all the communities.
Dogra Sabha leader also criticized the Government for worst kind of discrimination with the region and alleged that major projects related to development and beautification of Jammu like Tawi lake project, Gandola project, preservation and restoration of Jammu Heritage/ Culture have been facing rough deal. The issues of refugees and sufferings of border people have totally been ignored. Flood affected people from Domana and Marh have not been provided any relief. Not only this the demand of providing full fledged Duggar Channel has not been conceded despite commitment. He demanded that only Dogri knowing staff be appointed for Dogri News Unit of Radio Kashmir Jammu. He said Jammu is Dogri Station and locals be given preference otherwise DSS would launch agitation.
