Members of the Confederation of NCR Residents Welfare Association (CONRWA) met minister union minister Nitin Gadkari on Friday to demand the removal of toll booths from entire country.

GHAZIABAD: Members of the Confederation of NCR Residents Welfare Association (CONRWA) met Union minister NitinGadkari on Friday to demand the removal of toll booths from entire country.
A delegation led by the convener of the confederation (Retd.) Colonel Tejendra Pal Singh Tyagi along with other office bearers met Nitin Gadkari, minister of road transport and highways to brief him about the benefits of removal of toll booths in national capital region and other parts of the country.

The delegation pointed out to the minister that NHAI has constructed flyovers and elevated roads at short distances to facilitate collection of toll tax in contravention of its own rules.
As per NHAI rules, the distance between two toll booths on national highways should be 60km and 10km in municipal areas.
